InfluencesEverything really, I think there is only two genres of music, that which is good and music that is not. So influences come from all areas of the good side at least I think so. The people who have influenced me most on the more trad./folk scene are people The Watersons, Nic Jones, Carthy and Swarbrick.
Sounds LikeA bloke singing mainly traditional Englishy stuff with guitar or fiddle accompaniment, quite lucky really as that’s what I do!

   About James Findlay
I mainly play and sing traditional Englishy stuff.
That’s pretty much it really.
I also play as the duo fingerz n fretz with the fiddle and guitar legend Jerry Bird, playing many songs and tunes from Dorset and Somerset and elsewhere.

Me, Jerry and a few other disturbed members of the general public also play at the Brewers Arms, Martinstown, Dorset (01305 889361) on the third Tuesday evening of every month from 8.30pm, and at the Blue Raddle, Church Street, Dorchester, Dorset (01305 267762) on the first Wednesday of every Month.
These are open sessions so feel free to turn up dance, sing, play, tell us a tale, drink and be merry.

Twelve track CD available for £10 plus PP. Please contact me at jimmcfinn@hotmail.co.uk
