JFK Lancer - President John F. Kennedy 's Interests
General
My interest lies in America and the American people. As such, I have be quoted on several subjects that relate to our character, ambitions and way of life. Here are a few:
CHILDREN: "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future."
EQUALITY: "All of us do not have equal talent, but all of us should have an equal opportunity to develop our talents."
ACTION: "There are risks and costs to a program of action, but they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction." and "Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction."
HONESTY: "The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic."
MORALITY: "A man does what he must - in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures - and that is the basis of all human morality."
DREAMERS: " The problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were.
EDUCATION: "Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource." and "Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation."
CONFORMITY: "Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth."
CIVIL RIGHTS: "This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened."
THE INDIVIDUAL: "One person can make a difference and every person should try." and "Things do not happen. Things are made to happen."
Music
In the white house I enjoyed broadway musicals, popular artists, classical music, bagpipes and jazz... I'd say my musical tastes ranged “from middlebrow to noncommittal.”
Here is a selection written by Sherry Fiester, accompanied by Debra Conway (both of JFK Lancer) about truth:
There have been several major movies made about my PT 109 experience, and about my administration and assassination. JFK by Oliver Stone is probably the most well known, but you might also enjoy Thirteen Days, Kennedy, and The Missiles of October.
Another type of movie about me was the home movie; and the most controversial is the Zapruder film.
Television
I've had many opportunities to be on television. Two, however are most memorable:
On September26, 1960, more than 70 million viewers tuned in to watch me and Vice President Richard Nixon in the first-ever televised presidential debate. It was the first of four televised "Great Debates" between us. The first debate centered on domestic issues. The high point of the second debate, on 7 October, was disagreement over U.S. involvement in two small islands off the coast of China, and on 13 October. On 21 October, the final debate, the we focused on American relations with Cuba.
The second was my Inaugural Address. I remember saying " In your hands, my fellow citizens, more than mine, will rest the final success or failure of our course. Since this country was founded, each generation of Americans has been summoned to give testimony to its national loyalty. The graves of young Americans who answered the call to service surround the globe.
Now the trumpet summons us again -- not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need -- not as a call to battle, though embattled we are -- but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation,"² a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself.
I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it. And the glow from that fire can truly light the world.
And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.
My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man.
Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us here the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own."
Books
"In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience – the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men – each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. " JFK - Profiles in Courage
I have long been interested in the topic of political courage, beginning with my senior thesis at Harvard. The thesis, later published as Why England Slept, was a study of the failure of British political leaders in the 1930s to oppose popular resistance to rearming, leaving the country ill-prepared for World War II. My election to the House in 1946 and the Senate in 1952 gave me personal experience in dealing with the conflicting pressures that legislators face. When I took a leave of absence from the Senate in 1954 to recover from back surgery, it gave me the opportunity to study the topic of political courage. The project resulted in the publication of Profiles in Courage, which focuses on the careers of eight Senators whom I felt had shown great courage under enormous pressure from their parties and their constituents. The point I sought to make is not about how heroes are made of different stuff than others. This book is about how human beings can, in a time of moral crisis, find the courage to follow their own truth in the face of opposition. Profiles in Courage was Awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1957.

Heroes
I commanded a Patrol Torpedo boat with ten enlisted men during the war. The night of August 2, 1943, we were one of fifteen boats sent out on patrol to intercept Japanese warships. The PT boat was creeping along to keep the wake and noise to a minimum in order to avoid detection. Around 2AM with me at the helm, the Japanese destroyer Amagiri traveling at 40 knots cut PT 109 in two in ten seconds. I reinjured my back but still managed to swim a burned crew member to safety. I swam for four hours before reaching an island. I then continued swimming during attempts to find friendly boats. For this I was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal.
I was once asked "how did you become a war hero?"
I replied "It was absolutely involuntary. They sank my boat."

About me:
On November 22, 1963, when he was hardly past his first thousand days in office, John Fitzgerald Kennedy was killed by an assassin's bullets as his motorcade wound through Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was the youngest man elected President; he was the youngest to die.
Why was President Kennedy assassinated on November 22, 1963?
Who planned it?
Who carried out the plan?
Who covered it up?
Why does it still matter?

Lancer was JFK's Secret Service code name. What was secret is now revealed. That is why our name is JFK Lancer.

*******
Of Irish descent, I was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917. After graduating from Harvard in 1940, I entered the Navy. Back from the war, I became a Democratic Congressman from the Boston area, advancing in 1953 to the Senate. I married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953. In 1955, while recuperating from a back operation, I wrote Profiles in Courage, which won the Pulitzer Prize in history.
In 1956 I almost gained the Democratic nomination for Vice President, and four years later was a first-ballot nominee for President. Millions watched my television debates with the Republican candidate, Richard M. Nixon. Winning by a narrow margin in the popular vote, I became the youngest US President.

Failure is the best part of success. They are like yin and yang; you can’t have one without the other. So learn to celebrate your failures. Truly successful people even say they are successful because they have failed more than anyone they know. They keep trying and each time it doesn’t work, it’s just a learning experience. So, go out there, Fail, Learn, Succeed. Fail, Learn, Succeed. Say it with me now, Fail. Learn.. Succeed!!!
Put it this way, you CANNOT get hung up on when something doesn’t go your way. If you stay fixated on the failure, then you cut off the other two steps: Learn and Succeed. Fight the temptation to dwell on the failure with EVERYTHING you’ve got. Get excited about failing! Then Learn, Then Succeed!!!
About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this.
May God give you......
A rainbow for every storm,
A promise for every care,
A smile for each tear,
A blessing for every trial,
A sweet song for each sigh,
An answer for each prayer and
A faithful friend to share life's problems.

Prayer chain for our Military... Don't break it!
Please send this on after a short prayer.
Prayer for our soldiers Don't break it!
Prayer:
'Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands Protect them as they protect us Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.
'
Prayer Request: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world.
There is nothing attached. Just send this to people in your address book. Do not let it stop with you. Of all the gifts you could give a Marine, Soldier, Sailor, Airman, & others deployed in harm's way, prayer is the very best one.
Politically correct rhetoric is all about cutting taxes and spending, restoring consumer’s rights, environmental protection and individual Liberty, but those things can't happen until we get rid of senators and congressmen controlled by bankers and corporate interests, and all corrupt officials no matter what party, bureau, agency or force they belong to, or how important they appear to be.
Do you think that with Obama's announcement about freeing up governmental information that it will shed new light on the Kennedy Case>? I would think it should open new doors and information that was previously unavailable.
