RIP Justin Lee Woolley!*~.:. Justin Lee Woolley, age 20, of Rogersville passed away Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Justin’s funeral service will be Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Elkins East Chapel, Center Star. Calvin Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Richardson Chapel Cemetery. His family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. Justin was born in Lauderdale County and was raised in the Elgin community. He was a member of Elgin United Methodist Church. Justin attended elementary school at Rogers and was a 2004 graduate of Hatton High School and was so proud of his diploma. He was also a student at Northwest Shoals where he studied electronics. Justin won the Career/ Technical Scholarship for outstanding work accomplishments and dedication in Career/Technical Education May 11, 2004. He was a member of Skills USA (VICA) in Electronics Competition. He won medals and ribbons and always won the Gold. He won Alabama State Medals three years in a row. Justin worked as a cashier at Burger King in Moulton. He loved music, and most recently, enjoyed pop country. He also loved to play games and the sport of paintball and enjoyed times with his Pitt Bull, Boss. His grandmother Killen always made fried pies for Justin and he loved the sweaters and fleece jackets she made. Justin especially loved his camouflage jacket and he wore it until it was tattered and worn out. Justin never left his grandparents before hugging them both goodbye. He was always good to visit his great-grandmother too. His papaw Collier was always quick to brag on Justin for his electronic accomplishments. Gina spoiled Justin and he knew it. She had 15 wonderful years with him and remembers him as happy and smiling. He was a real brat she says and he said he knew it and she had caused it. Justin enjoyed the sport of fishing. He never planned anything and he was impulsive, never on time and always late. He would get excited and talk so fast when he explained something. He was a big joker-trickster and had many friends. Blake and Justin looked out for each other and they recently took a trip together to Illinois to a contemporary Christian concert. They really bonded on this trip. Justin loved his Mom’s chicken enchiladas, she says of her son, “he was a Mama’s boy” and always gave her good hugs and kisses and still always called her “Mommy”. She says Justin always had a great outlook on life right until their last conversation. He was always generous and loving to her and would get embarrassed when she bragged on him. He always looked forward to the “pizza night” at his Dads’ on Friday nights and roast beef or spaghetti on Sunday night. Justin worked every summer with his dad, Patrick, framing houses. They rode many days to Huntsville spending quality time together. Most recently, Justin enjoyed spending time with his cousins, Jennifer and L.J. in Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dennis Sherrill Belew “Bus”; maternal great-grandfathers, Ernest Collier and Luther Killen; and maternal great-grandmother, Verda Killen. He is survived by his father, Patrick Lee Woolley and wife, Gina, of Rogersville; mother, Charlotte Killen of Killen and brother, Blake Woolley of Rogersville; maternal grandparents, R.C. and Barbara Killen of Lexington; maternal great grandmother, Regina Collier of Lexington; paternal grandparents, Lee and Judy Woolley of Rogersville; paternal great-grandmother, Betty Belew of Rogersville; stepsisters, Allison Smith of Zephyr Hill, Fla., Amy Mardis of Town Creek, Amber Bagwell and husband, Shawn, of Hanceville; stepbrothers, Matt Smith of Muscle Shoals and Tim Smith of Rogersville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of gifts in loving memory of Justin Lee Woolley to the Justin Lee Woolley Electronics Scholarship for continuing education c/o to any SunTrust Bank or mail to the Killen location at 300 Hwy. 43 Killen, AL 35645. Justin’s family wants to thank the chaplain and state trooper for their compassion in bringing the news of Justin’s death to them last Saturday.
