Jack Gafford is an anomaly in the music business. Music found him as opposed to Jack finding music. An exceptional athlete who played semi-pro baseball and a certified personal fitness instructor, Jack wasn't exactly "looking" for a career in the music business. However, when one is extremely gifted, it is hard to ignore the inevitable.
Jack discovered his gift for music when he was 14 at a front porch picking session in his home state of Florida. Everyone knew that he was learning the guitar very quickly but nobody knew the depth of his natural singing abilities. From that point on, Jack was stirring peoples' emotions with his warm baritone voice.
And a unique voice it is. In an age where attitude rules, Gafford effortlessly puts the soul back into music. His voice truly moves people of all ages. Influenced by such diverse artists as Bobby Darrin, Elvis, Keith Whitley, Alabama and George Strait, Jack Gafford combines quality with life experience to get an incredibly powerful sound.
Jack Gafford's talent flows from his personhood. He is an amazingly dedicated person who is committed to the core values that make him such a unique individual. Jack served for 6 years in the US Air Force as a technical training instructor for security and law enforcement. He participated in the invasion of Grenada conflict and performed personal security for the flight crews. He was also part of the Tops in Blue ensemble of the Air Force. Jack traveled the world singing and acting with the highly skilled ensemble.
Since his first encounters with music, Jack has had the opportunity to perform all over the world and perform with such notable artists as Kenny Chesney, Merle Haggard, Lorrie Morgan, and Johnny Cash to name a few.
