J-Henry grew up in a working class family of 5 boys in Central New Jersey, listening to Springsteen, Mellencamp, and Bob Seger, while fine-tuning his own version of heartland rock.
While playing as an acoustic artist in the New Jersey club scene, Henry was spotted by Anthony Krizan from the Spin Doctors, who immediately connected with his simple, heartfelt lyrics and melodies. Together they set out to produce a cd and form a band that would compliment his sound.
J-Henry's latest cd Code Red is being released on Adrenaline Records. With an outstanding live show - an 8-piece classic rock band of seasoned players whose members have toured with the likes of Meatloaf, Mellencamp, and the Stones, J-Henry has been asked to perform at over a dozen NASCAR events to support the cd.
J Steele is a favorite songwriter/performer for so many people here, including me. But no, we're not buddies. You'll have a blast at the show and you'll leave feeling like you know him.... Hope you're having a great time!!
Hi there - a reminder to look in to the Americana Awards fest here in Nashville in September. I'm not sure of entry deadline, requirements, etc... I bet you can get that info from Mizzzzz Collins. Hope all is well in Jersey!
