First off for all you confused folks.......last name is pronounced Razz-nuh, the "H" is silent. Love to hear comments on songs if you listen to them(I AM NOT SINGING) Thanks!!! I am a songwriter by heart, hunting day job(for now).
Music has always been a part of my life since I was 4. I came to Nashville to go to college at Vanderbilt University and just stayed(yes I am surprised I graduated from Vanderbilt too lol) Although I dabbled in songwriting most of my life, I started writing seriously in 1998 when I met a buddy Steve Gaines(myspace.com/srgaines). I have co-written over 100 songs and most have been with Steve my good friend from Texas. Steve sings all our demos & plays all instruments on them as well. He is an incredible musician! We have written songs in all styles from country to blues to southern rock.
I have also been blessed to write with some other talented folks. "Dancing On Her Daddy's Toes" was written as a surprise for my daughter's wedding & for "our dance" and got musical help from co-writer friend Mike Dunbar with another friend "Scat Springs" doing the warm vocals on it!
I recently have had the pleasure to write with members of the band "Stockholm Stoner"(see blog) and have two songs coming out on their CD officially this Feb(2000). Our song "Broken Wing Angel" has been moving up the Independent Music Network Country Charts.
I have also had the pleasure of writing with some awesome writers Joy Collins, Glen Mitchell, Brandee White Nielsen, Ed Blach, Sean Philbin, Stephanie Layne, Kate Taylor, Jen Mangrum, John Taglieri, Scott Sean White, Stevemanrocks, Jack Martin, Brittany Easley, Natalie Shuey, Arvid Nielsen, John DiBattista & others
