Music is my harmonic connection to all things in the universe. Writing songs is the purest form of self-expression that I know of. Honesty and truth should always be foremost in the lyrics.
"Good songs are three chords and the truth"
Music
My influences include Bob Dylan, John Denver, Jackson Brown, John Lennon.
Movies
I am partial to independent films, and foreign films.
About me: Born and raised in the Midwest and coming of age in the 60’s, John’s musical sensibilities were heavily influenced by the Beatles and the Motown sound. Solo performers and songwriters like John Denver, Bob Dylan and Jackson Browne also played a part in shaping the style of Acoustic Folk Rock that he is drawn to today.
Social themes and topical issues figure prominently in many Jonathan Howard songs, striving to elevate the awareness of people through musical expression. His anti-war message in “The Promised Land” graphically illustrates the devastating effect of war on young people, without being judgmental in a political way. Other songs feature sweet melodies and tasty hooks, such as “The Train From Buffalo”, a tale of wistful romance.

Thanks for the friend listing. The music sounds really good and yes we do have a common friend out here in Stacy Jo. I was listening to her songs the other day and was caught up in the control she has over her voice. Very nice. "Music Is The Window Of Life, So Play On"
