Heroes
"Here's to the Crazy Ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward... While some see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do." - Craig Tanimoto for Apple Computers ad, often misattributed to Jack Kerouac
jido-genshi is the pseudonym that i use for my experimental electronic music project. i have several different solo projects as well as band projects that i am currently involved with.
I am an autodidactic polymath; a composer & music technologist, photographer, web & graphic designer, magician & psychological illusionist, published author, futurist, amateur robotics engineer and rocket scientist, digital media educator, and most recently indie toy designer.

this is my
Bjork Remix that I made of Oceania. bjork had it on her site for a while there...
... and for fun, a project that originally started out as a little doodle but has now taken on a life of its own (and has recently consumed my life!), is my Broken Heart Robot project. due to the amazing amount of feedback i had been receiving regarding my little robot, i decided to make a vinyl toy version of him. this is a limited edition run of 1000 pieces and is currently found at stores such as KidRobot.com, MunkyKing.com and Meltdown Comics (meltcomics.com) as well as other urban vinyl & toy retailers throughout the world. so now that the toy is officially released and doing quite well has sold out, I guess this adds to my list of occupations: Toy Maker!
stay tuned for announcements of the next plan for Broken Heart Robot (hint: tv show), upcoming music releases and other interesting projects.

You need to go to Italy. Like NOW! Now I realize that you look sooo Italian, though not as Italian as some. They're short, loud and look like gypsies. They don't really speak English, so trying to communicate is an adventure in itself. I'm taking a LOT of pictures. They're not nearly as good as yours, but I'll show them to you anyway. I have too much to say, so when I come back, you're going to come over and I'll talk for 2 days straight.
Thank you very much. =) Tattooing seems fun. If I can fit it into the extensive list of things I want to do, I'll try it. I would love to do more color, but it's a real pain in the ass. We don't get too much time for the projects and I get lazy. I try to get my work done as fast as possible so I can finish before everyone else starts printing. I hate running into people while printing, since it's so messy. If I had the time and resources, I would do color too. =)
Oooh, I'm getting a Leica! I don't know if I told you. My father decided to get me one as a graduation present. I'm soooooo excited. We'll have to schedule a day and go on a photographic adventure. =)
Hey man thanks for the kind words. Yeah the Tenori-on is just about the coolest achievement of the human race, and if you ever get a chance to own one I highly recommend it. I had to sell a ton of stuff to get it but it was well WELL worth it. And about my art... I actually do it myself, I'm glad you like it no one ever seems to mention it. Thanks for checking out my stuff
