Jigglesfest is a free and open to the public Music festival which features live music from current and past Marquette Bands. The festival started in 1986 when Marquette announced that they were not going to host their annual Spring Block Party. MU students needed a party and the Jigglesfest Live Music Festival was born.
After a brief hiatus, 2008 marks the rebirth of Jigglesfest. Bands like Planet Dastardly, Surrender Dorothy, Southbound, The Nodes, R. Mutt, Freezone, Big Sky and others are tentatively scheduled to play the September 20th festival which is to be held at Bradford Beach on the downtown Milwaukee shores of Lake Michigan.
Jiggles 08 will take place this fall at Bradford Beach - right on Lake Michigan, great beach location, access to public transportation, ample parking, great facilities, and a perfect location for the stage. Festival goers can bring in picnics or purchase food and beverages at the Bradford Beach Pavilion.
In addition to the show at the beach on Saturday the 20th (12:00 - 9:00pm) we are also hosting an open jam at Conway's pub on the eve of the beach (Fri 19th) and we are extending the Saturday show into the late night hours with a Marquette Radio supported show at the MU Sport Annex. We are still looking for performers, so either bring a guitar to Conway's of get in touch to discuss your band performing at the Annex.

Hey everybody! Come get in the swing of things by coming out the Racine County Fairgrounds Saturday August 23rd for Frendly Fest! It will be a good warm-up to get in party mode for Jiggles!

Linda, Great news on Freezone. I just heard from some of the guys from Big Sky and they are working on figuring out if they can pull it together for a set at the beach.
Right now we're thinking Noon to 8:00 PM at Bradford Beach and then moving the party indoors - hopefully to the MU Sports Annex. Depending on how many current MU bands we can find to join the lineup, we may move the start time at the beach to 11:00 AM. And we're planning a kick off party for Friday night at Conway's. Lots of music all weekend long... Get in touch if you are a current MU band or musician or a Jiggles alumni musician!
