Hey, I'm JiKay. My real name is Jim Kirk and I have been around music my whole life. All started going to watch my dad play gigs when I was really young and being interested in the technical side of it all. This got me into DJing at kids parties etc. from a very young age. One Christmas my parents had bought me a child's drum kit but I wasn't particularly interested until I was around 10 and they started giving drum lessons at my school. I was encouraged to take them by school and when I was 13 got my first full size kit and started looking for a band to play with. Since then I started learning various other instruments such as guitar, bass and also took interest once again in the piano / keys (I had also had piano lessons from a young age)
JiKay is basically the product of all of this (along with various other bands I play in) where I try to fuse elements of the wide range of music I listen to and call on a whole lifetime of musical involvement to hopefully create music that's as fun to listen to as it is to make.
SAUSAGEFEST 2009 is coming up on Sunday 5th July, featuring the best on local and national metal and hardcore. THE RED CHORD, THE ARUSHA ACCORD, MARTYR DEFILED, RANDOM CONFLICT and loads more!

We will be doing an aftershow party with the Total Annihilation DJs in the bar downstairs for those who don't want the night to end- so stick around and see if you can spot anybody interesting! ;)
