About me: I don't do well with describing myself. One of my favorite books and films, High Fidelity, says, "What matters is what you like, not what you are like." I agree with that, up to a point. I can easily tell you about the things, and people, that I like, but telling you about me is more complex.
To give the short, short version:
The job is no longer new. It's not the best I've ever had, but I doubt it'll be the worst, either. For now, it'll do.
I have a small group of friends about whom I care deeply, but more are always welcome.
I used to be a vocalist, back in the day. I suppose technically I still am, if you count singing in the car, the shower, and at karaoke when I visit Albany. But I've got to say, I've been starting to think about maybe doing something a little more than that. Maybe. No promises.
I adore my nieces.
I have strange talents for buying appropriate greeting cards and recognizing celebrity voice-overs.
Ask me a question, and I'll answer it. Usually at length, using longer words than are really necessary.
I've quit smoking; as of this writing, it's been 518 days. It sounds so impressive, and yet, I STILL miss it.
Did I miss anything? Other than, y'know, the cigarettes.
Who I'd like to meet: Trying the YouTube.com playlist route, recently updated (3/3/08).
If it doesn't work (and at the moment, 7/26, it appears not to be; it's only letting you see the first video. Which, while cool and all, doesn't really accomplish what I was going for) you should be able to access it here:
