My name is Jill Deering, im a singer songwriter from Lexlip, Co.Kildare. Ive been playing music since I was a little girl, starting out with piano when I was very small to then picking up the guitar in my later teenage years. I first got the chance to step into a studio when I was just out of school, I was asked over to New York to sing on some demo tracks for a hip/hop/pop producer and it was then that I really got the taste for music as a career. During my college years (2002-2006) where I studyed Graphic design in NCAD, I formed a small trio band called Jelcio. We released a self promo demo in Tower records with two of my songs ‘Break My Every Move’ and ‘Time’. During that summer of 2005 we gigged around some small venues in Dublin and then went over to the UK for three months to gig. We got to play in a lot of venues like The Tate Modern, The Fifteen05, The 12 Bar Café, The Bedford and also performed a few times for the BBC. After the three months, we went our separate ways and I continued on with the music myself as a solo artist. Over the past year and a half, Ive gigged around Dublin a lot in placed like Whelans, The Sugar Club and The Ruby Sessions, I have also support artists like Tim Easton from the USA on his Tour in Ireland and now im currently promoting my self titled debut EP which I released there back in November 2007.

The fact that my new album ‘Tickety-Boo’ is being released to record shops and on iTunes on Friday, September 25 with a show in The Village, Wexford St featuring a full 8 piece band + guests Arrow in the Sky and The Last Tycoons, is purely coincidental.
