BIO
"Jillian Riscoe was not even a twinkle in her dad's eye when The Beatles sang, 'she was just 17 . . .' But if they were doing that song today, it might be about her because she really is 'way beyond compare,' as The Beatles sang many, many years ago." - Paul Herdtner, FOX 4 TV
A household name? Soon enough!
Jillian Riscoe is no stranger to the world of music. She stepped into her first recording studio at the age of 10 and wrote her first song when she was only 11. In 2009, Jillian is prepared to show the world that she is capable of achieving great things. Jillian is recording her new album with vet producer David Percefull (David Cook, Phil Marshall, Bowling for Soup). She says, "David is great to work with. He is an amazing musician, producer and collaborator! I like to take my spin on the term 'dark romanticism with my songs in the sense that what I'm writing and singing about is powerful, expressive and charming." Her first single "Stuck" will be released in May.
Jillian is a captivating performer. By the age of 15, she had performed the national anthem for the Kansas City Royals, Wizards, T-Bones and American Royal. Most recently, she has appeared at Arbonne's "Power of the Dream" retreat as well as many other special appearances.
The media loves her! Jillian had a 3 page interview and spread in Array Magazine, with a follow-up in the next issue. In early 2008, Jillian was chosen by TV anchor Phil Witt as the FOX 4 Young Achiever of the Week in the Reaching for Excellence segment. That same month, she was the featured performer on Kansas City’s televised talk show, After Hours - hosted by Darron Story and Cara Kahn.
Always seeking a creative outlet somewhere with someone, she found Deanna Burasco - a Kansas City based jewelry designer. Jillian has partnered with Deanna to develop a new line of hip jewelry, Pink Symphony. Jillian says, "The line features funky yet wearable pieces and is for anyone who loves to stand out!"
In just a short period of time, Jillian has proven herself to be a unique, compelling artist with limitless potential. With her raw vocal talent and universal songwriting skills, her goals may not be as far off as she thinks. Jillian plans on debuting several exciting projects in 2009 and she is surely on her way to becoming someone "way beyond compare."
"You can come across immense talent by accident . . . her name? Jillian Riscoe." - Bruce Von Stiers, BVSreviews.com

3 months until your birthday!.. I feel so old.. sometimes I wish I could be like 5 yrs old.. ahaha is so fun to be a kid.. playing all day.. watching cartoons & not doing hw or anything releated to school.. Today I saw my cousin's 1 yr old son.. he started walking around.. I was in shock! I didn't even know he could walk! I started to feel sentimental..
