About me: And if you've got a one in a million girl, don't let her slip away, cause the next one in a million girl is a million girls away.
"But before you walk away, consider this: If writing is your hunger and your thirst, and if you choose not to follow your dream because you are afraid, you'll pay a price for that, too.
You'll pay with the progressive deadening of your soul, as time and your own disillusionment with yourself eat away at who you are. One day you'll wake up and discover that the part of yourself that knew how to dream - and how to fly - has died, and that you are forever after bound to the ground, with only the memory that you once had wings.
Every dreamer pays a price. But so does everyone who fears to dream." -- Holly Lisle.
"Do you think you'll be the guy, to make the queen of the angels sigh?"
Take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt. Because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back, and life is too short to waste.
The best way to describe me? Eclectic. From people, to books, to music to movies, to food...and everything in between, I love a little bit of everything. I am an erotic romance novelist. Check out my books and publishers over there on the left side of the page...and the pages of my friends and fellow authors down there in my "friends" section. My dream/goal is to live near the water somewhere. Preferably the ocean, so I can listen to the waves. :-)
I LOVE music - classic rock, mostly, but anything that's actually *good* works for me. I'm 99.99% responsible, with a tiny little wild streak that breaks through now and then. I would never describe myself as "just" anything, because I think that's another way of saying "average." My favorite people are those who live life to the fullest, always learning, always growing, forever pursuing their dreams.
I have three amazing "adult" children, and I'm a grandmother - twice. Aidan is going on 2, and Christopher just turned 4. I recently opened my own publishing company, and life is GOOD.
I think the happiest people are those who have a true passion. Something they really care about and enjoy. I think that makes a person content, even when life gets chaotic...
I'd like to network with fellow authors, and I'm always interested in hearing from musicians and songwriters. I love hearing new music, so send me your links!
Okay, I did six months in Erie, PA, and that's about all I can take. Need to go back where people actually LIVE life, instead of just existing. I rarely do friend requests. If I contacted you and/or did a friend request, I did so because I'm interested in getting to know you better. I don't just collect names and faces to make my page look pretty. ;-)
If you aren't interested in corresponding and becoming friends, don't feel obligated to accept the request. :-)
The world is round The rain comes but once a week The globe where we all live, In our blue skies above Looking for what we all do want, The spirit of peace and love
Wanting that baby in our arms to hold Watching a friendship grow From birth to days of old As the tears roll down When all is not good And we smile when The sun does come again
Seeking angels, In pastures of green, Weeping children, And, Hunger pains to cry We look to God, In prayers of forgiveness In asking ourselves, why
The world is round This globe where we all live, Under blue skies of grey cloud We fight wars, and we fight to be proud We feed the hungry, we defend the poor, Then we look to the heavens, And ask for more
Wanting that baby in our arms to hold, Not wishing for a babies tears to cry As the tears roll down When all is not good And we smile when The sun does come again
Seeking angels, In pastures of green, Weeping children, And, Hunger pains to cry We look to God, In prayers of forgiveness In asking ourselves, why
As the tears roll down When all is not good And we smile when The sun does come again
The world is round This globe where we all live We feed the hungry, we defend the poor, Then we look to the heavens, And ask for more
As the tears roll down When all is not good And we smile when The sun does come again We smile, when we know Tomorrow will reign
Hi, just stopping by to see what's going on and to let you know what is happening lately.
The biggest news is that Harlequin announced that they would be looking for submissions for Carina Press, a digital publishing division. You can get all the details in my blog. Plus, I try to keep you informed of when authors are doing a blog tour or book signing. I usually tell you about them in my status unless it is a busy day then I will post a bulletin. And, as a bonus, I have at least one author visit each month (usually more) and I keep you up-to-date on new contests from Harlequin. You never know when something new will show up!
Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."
Here is a passage from my best selling romantic novel, BRUSH STROKES
“A man may admire what a woman does for a living; he may admire her education and social circle. He may be enamored with her physical beauty, but he only truly falls in love, with the softest and warmest part of her, her soul.”

“Honey, Baby, Sweetheart, it’s cold outside baby” she said, with her lips rolling in and out “Come inside… my coat, there’s enough room for the both of us” His warm lips nestled against the tip of her nose She couldn’t help but to lean forward into his arms She let a long sighing breath steam the air against his neck She warmed his skin He blocked the cold winds She laid her souls as a blanket He protected from coldest elements They made a fire Standing together in the cold winds of time, is always better than standing alone It’s even better when someone loves you during the coldest times in this world Fall turns into winter Fire and desire warms toes, hips, breast and lips, and souls Reach for love, and turn up the heat Lower the thermostat of those summer expectations of the visual needs that make you hot Think about Hot Chocolate filling your cup deeply, and it goes down so sweetly If it drips, oh well, the clean up can be fun Fall mists for sweet kisses Winter drifts in-between the cracks and crevices Fill yourself with love, and let it swell tight, and release only when you’re hot enough Hold tight to love because it will be cold if holding alone Feel someone’s heart beating, and let your heart beat for the need of warmth Cold is coming winterize with love

Under the piano stool a pair of tan high-heel slippers, one was standing up and one lying on its side. In my mind’s eye I could still see her feet in them. I could see her sitting there warming her skin by the fire, and seeing all that put me in an oasis daydream.
