Jim Garrett is the songwriter who's voice is gently accompanied by brother Pat Garrett's harmonies. They both like playing guitars, mandolin and percussion, sometimes even keyboards, harmonica and organs. Daddy Longlegs enjoys his position among pianos, organs, drums and percussion but of course you may also hear him sing from time to time. Joe Garrett's voice is her cello, and what a sweet voice too. All together we are Jim and Pat Garrett Show.
Influences
Folk, Country, Pop. Vysotskij, Jaques Brel, Evert Taube, The Beatles and Duran Duran. We have listened to so mush I can only start, just to realize the next minute that there's no point. I'd rather just let you know that we started listening to our hearts and this is what ran through our veins.

Brothers Jim and Pat have been playing songs for many years, in all kinds of forms and constellations, but by winter 2004 we took our songs and rearranged them to fit a 2-man session. After having played several events in Stockholm, Sweden, we included a pianist/drummer and rearranged them yet again. We took our instruments to France, recorded some 20 songs and returned mixing at home in Stockholm. We are now working hard to get or self-titled album debut distributed. Looking forward to see some of our Myspace visitors and friends out in the real world soon.

This our first video, This Is Not What You'd Expect, made by art student and illustrator Lou Fallenius. We love the scenary, the characters (inspired by us) and the story which is told simultaneously with the song - The musician who quits his job to go pursue his dream but dies, later realizing that only the animals can see and hear him. He finally understands that quitting on everyone and everything else to reach a personal goal pays back in oblivion of how much we need that "everyone and everything" he abandonned.
