"Of course, listen to what Mama tells you..."

Music
Holy Shit, what a destined pairing. Great psychobilly and Elysium! I hope its a long-term relationship. So proud of that show.
Psychobilly, rockabilly, surf, punk, hardcore, industrial, garage, 1920's Delta blues, Jump blues, independent radio, Texas punk/psycho bands, 40's-50's R&B done creepy, Motown, '80s Austin punk scene, general '80's punkrock, some ambient and electronic, ska and reggae on Sundays, The Cramps and Rev. Horton Heat were the first bands that made me envision playing onstage.
.. ..
Movies
Repo Man!(Harry Dean could be my dad.)
B-Movie Low-Budget Cult Films: Troma, horror, comedies, sci-fi, mystery, enthusiastic porno, Russ Myer, Film Noir and Zombies! John Waters flicks:Crybaby, Pecker, A Dirty Shame, etc. Dr. Strangelove, Fear and Loathing, After Hours, Dark City, Barfly, Big Lebowski, The Addams Family 1&2, Dogtown and Z-Boys documentary, Roadside Prophets, DeadMan, Stranger than Fiction, Rock Opera and yeah, Nacho Libre! Something Wicked This Way Comes and The Outsiders were both influential films in my youte.
Television
TV "programming"(!) is boring and cable isn't in the budget. Family Guy and American Dad are a saving grace. And My name is Earl. Heroes is decent stuff.
I'm not a fancy man or a snob, but local indie video shops tend to carry what I'm looking for.
The first action show I remember seeing was Zorro in B&W, and so the notion of justice for the humble was instilled. (Then Antonio Banderas went and drew a Z with a turd. Fucker.)
Books
Charles Bukowski, David Icke (what if his theories prove true?), James Everett Bryant who wrote "Life's Little Destruction Handbook", Charles Addams, William Faulkner, mysteries, detective novels, true crime/serial killers, HST; The Mutineer, Hey Rube, Kingdom of Fear, and Fear and Loathing in L.V.
Heroes
People who are cool to others regardless of similarities, shared sentiments, or status, a la Ram. Kind folks and friendly types, and people who can call "Bullshit!" when they see it.
Comedian Bill Hicks. John Waters. Roky Erickson and his comeback. Those who have variety in their lives. Genuine People!

About me: These are the coolest cars on the road, cars that cannot be mass-produced on a factory line. That's timeless individual freedom to be expressed.
History:
A black sheep, Black-Irish orphan from Chatterbox who drinks Mexican, Irish, or Lonestar beer, sippin' tequilas or Canadian whiskey. I'm a cheap date: an hourly beer or a couple of shots, and a social smoker. Also, if something grows naturally out the ground, perhaps folks shouldn't be put in jail for consuming it. Call me crazy...
The wait is on for a real sturdy 3/4 upright bass around $1K. The elec. Fender JP bass is good to practice with in the meantime.
Currently looking for a literary agent to publish 3 kid's books I'm writing. I'm also transferring some other comic book ideas over to kid's book format to help pad the sale.
Hopefully I can stir up enough income from book sales where I can try my hand with writing and making some artwork for extra cash. This day-time job shit needs to go.
-Realizing again the wonderful value of forgiving acceptance and good friends!
Studying Art history has given me a brief meeting with what creative minds can materialize. I admire the various great movements in art, especially the 20th century. Mark Rothko is a favorite painter because he was able to get such rich results from minimal design, and Robert Williams is also brilliant with his color layering techniques.
Started playing bass ('75 Rick, the coolest thing I'd ever had) in 1990. Making music and being around fun, creative musicians & artists really is a "golden life" type of experience. To see that ability genuinely expressed is amazing and vital. I'm just glad to be alive.
Born in El Paso and have lived in Abilene, Tx., Shreveport, La., and McComb, Mississippi. All Bible-belty!
After visiting family here for years and going to military school in San Marcos for two yrs, I finally moved to Austin in '88.
-Seen the different revolutions of Austin's live music venues, the import/export population exchange, and how the city govt. has slowly hollowed out the phrase "Live Music Capitol of the World".
The current economy won't make that much of a change in my environment. I like the simple lifestyle of the Dust Bowl/Depression era; Juke Joints, rent parties, minimal cosmetic stuff, etc. Have drinks at home and then go out. Packing a flask and having a kind smokebreak out back is the best!
Who I'd like to meet: People less aggro than these guys! Is this what happens nowadays if a ticket is paid late or someone mispronounces "lip balm"?
Who I'd really like to meet: Folks with tolerance and a sense of humor. People who let others be, free to do their own thing. If there is no harm, then its nobody's business.
I like a community mind and the idea of a universal good.
Fun folks with artistic tendencies, smarts of the oddball kind, and easygoing, friendly spirits are the sorts I like to be around. The snobless and flexible!
I wish I could have hung out with Bill Hicks. One day I'll take the John Waters tour of Baltimore. (He plays a better joke than Andy Warhol.)
Music is a complex art form, a combination of language and mathmatics, and I like those who can appreciate that, and also the embarassing power of a loud, public fart.
We are getting geared up for the 6th St Smokeout, and it's now just a week away!
We'll have plenty of pizza, from the Mellow Mushroom, to take care of your munchies, and we'll also have a psychedellic multimedia light show for your viewing pleasure!!
Also, if you have just a couple minutes to spare, go by Do512 and vote "I Like" on the event page there; it'll keep the Smokeout near the top of the list of events for that day, and the "Higher" we are on the list the better!!!! The Do512 event page is here: http://do512.com/event/2009/10/17/texas-normls-4th-annual-6th-street-smokeout
We're heading back to the US again in October for our 'Shadows Emerge Tour' of the West Coast USA and we'll be supporting Tiger Army & 45 Grave at Octoberflame, Oct 30th at the Grove of Anaheim CA.
By the way, we're rockin' Hanover's on Halloween. See you there, maybe?
Clem
Here's some more info for the show...

I always liked the strawberry one.My mom would take me like once a month to go buy a new one in the toy store and my grandma would always come so she could sniff the doll boxes too.We were probably getting high by huffing that plastic and never knew.LOL
