Jim Brickman, whose music is synonymous with love and romance, releases his new greatest hits collection on the eve of Valentine’s Day. Ultimate Love Songs: The Very Best of Jim Brickman, will be available at all major retailers and online on January 27th and, for the first time ever, includes all of his hit collaborations on one album as well as four new songs. Guest artists include Martina McBride, 2008 CMA Best New Artist winner and Grammy Best New Artist nominee Lady Antebellum, Michael Bolton and Rush of Fools, who sing on the brand new single “Never Far Away.”
Ultimate Love Songs showcases Brickman’s remarkable gift for coaxing powerful emotion from his piano keys, revealing why he has quickly risen to become the most popular pianist in contemporary music and the most successful male act on the Adult Contemporary charts. For this special collection and to honor his 15th year as a recording artist, Brickman teams up with Rush of Fools, Shannon Brown, Stephanie Bentley and Mark Masri for four brand new tracks. The album also features “Valentine,” recorded with Martina McBride, “Never Alone” with Lady Antebellum, “Simple Things” with Rebecca Lynn Howard, “Love of My Life” with Michael W. Smith and “Hear Me (Tears into Wine)” with Michael Bolton, all previously released on earlier studio albums. Emmy award winning artist Wayne Brady and Tony Award winning entertainer Jane Krakowski appear on the album as well and multiple CMT award winner Collin Raye is showcased on two tracks, “The Gift” (with Susan Ashton) and “Peace (Where the Heart is).”
Since his 1994 debut, Brickman has collaborated with an incredible range of vocalists resulting in a dozen Top 10 AC radio hits (three 1), over five million albums sold, six Gold and Platinum albums and a Grammy nomination. His catalog albums continue to sell over 200,000 copies each year and he has had more AC hits than any other male artist, besting Elton John, Paul McCartney and Billy Joel. Brickman also hosts a weekly radio show, Your Weekend, has authored two best selling books (Simple Things and Love Notes), hosts the Jim Brickman Cruise and has performed at Carnegie Hall and the White House. His international tours span from Spain to Thailand, while television audiences have seen Jim perform on ABC’s Gala for the President at Ford’s Theatre, Good Morning America, Extra and Regis and Kelly. He served as special performing music correspondent for NBC’s Today and hosted A&E’s Winter Solstice on Ice. A strong supporter of Public Broadcasting, Jim has taped three concert specials for that network, which include Jim Brickman at the Magic Kingdom—The Disney Songbook (2005), My Romance, An Evening With Jim Brickman (2000) and Love Songs and Lullabies (2002).
Other entrepreneurial ventures include Brickhouse Direct, an on-line marketing, website-design and fulfillment business, which creates websites and offers marketing tools to the entertainment industry, and boasts a client list that includes Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Michael Feinstein and Universal Records.
