   About Jim Conways Big Wheel
Australia’s own living legend of harmonica, Jim Conway, has assembled an astonishing array of talent to galvanise the ranks of his dream band. “Big Wheel” boasts an absolute all-star line up of musicians who share Jim’s passion for Blues, Jump and Swing. Featuring the talents of Don Hopkins, Jess Green, Stan Valacos Andy Byrnes and RP White. It’s little wonder that their inaugural CD, Little Story received an ARIA nomination for Best Blues Album in 2004. Jim Conway describes Big Wheel's new CD "Share This Life" as the finest recorded work of his extensive musical career. From its humble beginnings in Jim's lounge room, Big Wheel had the magic, a distinctive sound that jelled from the start. Big Wheel draws on influences as diverse as Jump Blues, Jazz, Swing, Cajun, Reggae, African, 50’s pop, and Doo-Wop. Add to that the inspired and often quirky original songs and instrumental arrangements and you will be captivated by the excitement that Big Wheel can generate.

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)

Promotional Video(My Girl From The South Sea Isles)

"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
