Hello music fans and fellow musicians alike. I've been called the new kid on the block here in Nashville. After playing for years on the road fronting various bands, I made my way to Nashville a few years back and have made my living producing various artists and song demos. Within that time I've had the good fortune of working with some great people who have been my mentors in songwriting, producing, and the music business.
Reggie Fisher has worked with about everyone in Hollywood and Nashville in some capacity. He has too many credits to list but some notable ones are (1) producing the 1st four T-Bone Burnett albums including half the tracks of T-Bone's latest..."Twenty Twenty - The Essential T Bone Burnett" (2) American Top 40 (3) music for the movies "Big" (Tom Hanks) and...
Doug Gilmore has been my latest partner in crime. He's had 1's with Reba...Doug also produced the Sonny and Cher variety show, The Mary Tyler Moore show and managed and "discovered" Roger Miller....too name a very few in his 50 year career. It's been a thrill and wonderful learning experience writing and producing with him.
Don Primmer has definitely had the most impact on my songwriting. To say he's a genius with words and storytelling is an understatement. I've always been a strong melody/music writer but the 1st time I sat down with Don and was told to use the CD i just played him as a coaster and "thank god you didn't pay for the demo" I new I was in a different world. He's been a mentor for me and my awesome and talented wife Rachel and I've become a better writer in the last 6 months with Don than the last 6 years of trying to figure it out on my own.
So to make a long story short, I write/produce with several hit writers, write with up and coming artists (preferably signed), me and my wife wife are both virtual artists getting airplay in the States and overseas, and we recently put together a short reality show pilot in a day as a total goof. As fate would have it, it's been seen and liked by several big people in Hollywood through Mr. Gilmore. Here's the YouTube link:

Fans please email me and Rachel. We're starting an official website and are putting together a mailing list so you'll have access to new songs and updates.
Recording artists, producers, A&R, management, anyone who needs hit songs:
1) I've learned from some of Nashville's finest songwriters and producers.
2) I'm a Berklee trained guitarist/musician and earned a scholarship to go.
2) I'm an A list session player and have produced/been band leader for several projects with triple scale players in Nashville.
3) I've fronted probably 2000 shows as an artist/singer/guitarist.
4) I write and produce hits....not album cuts. I love working with artists and can write with them or for them.
5) I'm being frantically encouraged by my mentors to develop relationships with anyone who needs hits or needs their artist to co-write a hit. I'm extremely good, quick, and inexpensive. All productions are in house and cost me absolutely nothing except my time. I play all instruments, me and my wife sing, and I have a world class drum/sound library. I'm looking to instigate a new way of doing business on the row through co-writing with artists, with the needs of the label, producer, management and artist at the forefront....whatever that means. I'd eventually like to produce radio singles for the artists I work with. I'm getting close now and I'm doing everything in my basement studio with absolutely no budget. Any music company effected by this economy can surely benefit from hit singles produced for nothing unless they make money.
I hope you enjoy the music and may the creative flow continue to move through you. Jim Cristaldi
