Influences
My influences are far and wide, But they start with my Dad who played Country/Bluegrass and had a beautiful tenor voice. The next thing that inspired me to want to play was seeing The Beatles!!!!!!!! on The Ed Sullivan Show,1964 (thats when the light went on for me), The Rolling Stones, The Who, then all the British Invasion. Then came Hendrix, Cream, Santana, The Doors and many others. And then one day I heard Led Zeppelin!!!!!!!!!!! Mixed in with all this Rock were Acoustic Artists and great songwriters Like James Taylor, Crosby stills, Nash, & Young, Joni Mitchel, Traffic a Whole lotta other stuff like Motown and different things. Then I heard Yes!!!!!!!!!! ( Who are one of my Major Influences) and all the Progressive bands of the 70's. Yes introduced me to Classical Music (which is one of my favorite kinds of Music)Vivaldi, Hayden, Mozart, Beetoven, Stravinsky... just as The Beatles introduced me to Eastern Indian Music. Also most 70's Rock, Heart,Foriegner, Boston, Cheap Trick, ect... Most of the 80's rock music...I like some of the newer music to, Wolfmother, Audio Slave, Jet, Green Day, Three Doors Down,ect...
