Currently researching my Dad's Infantry Company that served under Patton's Third Army, so information regarding WWII is endlessly fascinating.

About me:
A graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic art, I started my career as the colorist in the bullpen of King Features Syndicate coloring such world-renowned strips as Blondie, Beetle Bailey and Hagar the Horrible. A highlight while on staff was briefly ghosting Secret Agent Corrigan for good friend and mentor, George Evans. While on staff, I was hired as the writer and artist of the Flash Gordon newspaper strip. My tenure started on January 21, 1996 and ran until March 16, 2003.
Currently in production are illustrations for the novel Dragonblood, written by Christopher Long and put out by the fine people at Actionopolis. A graphic novel is also in the works based on the eyewitness accounts of the men of Company I, veterans of Patton’s Third army.
For examples of artwork, Flash Gordon and more, you can check out my web site at

Hi Jim !!! I am so honoured ! Jodie did the bridge in between us, and I am very happy being in your friends list cause I appreciate a lot your work ! Amitiés (with frienship) Magali
Thanks Jim for accepting me as a friend...Your Artwork is awesome...I love your Flash Gordon newspaper strip. I was wondering if there is any chance that your Flash Gordon newspaper strip would be getting reprinted into a Graphic Novel? I believe that would be cool it that were to ever happen. And I would be one of the first in line to buy it. By the way, is Dragonblood going to be a comic book or a Graphic Novel? Anyways, take care and have a nice day! Peace
I knew Milton and Bunny Caniff since I was 17. This was the only snapshot I had. He was like a father type/artist. . .very kind man! Glad you liked it. I compare it to your photo with Mr. Romita!
Ha ha Jim, I didn't think you were the boo dark scary type! So which piece had eyes that might give you nightmares? I was hoping that when you stopped in that you would peek inside the albums for the liquid metropolis cities. I don't think there is anything too spooky there.
Purchase Spluchase. I simply have forgotten to mail you a copy. I know I asked you alredy, but I think I need your address again. And if you simply MUST pay, it was $150 a copy (down from $165!!)
Hey there, Jim! I was just reminiscing about the old Red Owl grocery chain on the ol' blog today! I used to live in Morehead when I was a kid, don'tcha know.
Have fun up there. Will drink to your good health at the Bunny Bash!
