About me:

In Southeast Texas, Jim King is truly king of all mediums... Jim is host, producer, editor and creator of the "King of the Road Show," a popular local entertainment-based television program on Fox 4 KBTV. Jim is also a columnist and photographer for The Examiner newspaper as well as a nationally-recognized radio personality. Each year, Jim participates in over 200 local events of every kind, gathering interesting and entertaining video for his television program, and photos for his newspaper section. No other Southeast Texas media personality comes close to taking his show to the public like Jim does. King is a 2009 NLG (Numismatic Literary Guild) "Best Television Report" Award Winner and a 1999 NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) Marconi Award Finalist. Jim, a 25-year broadcast veteran, was also named 1997 Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters "Radio Personality of the Year." Jim is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Broadcast Journalism degree. In high school (Odessa Permian), Jim was captain of the swim team, and he along with three other "Mojo" swimmers established a school record in the medley relay that still stands - over 30 years later!
