Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Jim Meese began playing piano at age 3. His first teacher was his father, a singer and accordionist. The youngest of five children, he grew up surrounded by all types of music. Intrigued by the Progressive Rock of the 70s, especially bands featuring piano and keyboards (Yes, Genesis, Kansas, Elton John, etc.) Jim began writing music as early as 6th grade. He performed in bands throughout high school and music school which he attended on full scholarship.
In 1991, upon completion of music school and his first CD as Keyboardist/Engineer & Producer, Jim moved to Florida to attend Full Sail Center For The Recording Arts. After finishing with high marks, he moved back to Ohio to open his own recording studio (Myriad Music: myriadmusic.com), record label and publishing company and to prepare for the recording and release of his first solo album- "Listen" which came out in June of 2005 on Monkey Hut Records.
Currently Jim is back in the studio recording his second CD.
