Jimmi Carr is muso from the Blue mountains {Australia}. Jimmi has recently released his 3rd album, which is his 1st album with his long term touring band.
Jimmi's music incorperates thought provoking and at times intimate lyrics with with music that ranges from blues/roots through to funk, rock and reggae while always maintaining a very strong pop sensibility.
Jimmi's 1st album "THE RECIPE" recieved loads of airplay and rave reviews both in Australia and internationally.
Jimmi Has toured extensively and played alongside acts such as LIOR, XAVIER RUDD, HERMITUDE, HARRY MANX and AFRO MOSES.
His second album "BRIGHT BLACK SKY" was released in 06, followed by 2 highly successfull east coast tours and lots of radio support and positive reviews.
BRIGHT BLACK SKY was recorded at Sound heaven in the Blue mountains with the help of some of Australias finest musicians, including members of HERMITUDE, PETE DRUMMOND , JOHN STUART {session player for the DISSOCIATIVES} and a string and horn section. The album is very ambitious and moves from intimate folk and pop moments into heavier and more experimental territory.
The new album was recorded in a big old earth wallled farm house in victoria and has all the the imediacy and honesty of a kickass live performance by and experienced band. It is Jimmi's most direct and user friendly work to date.
BRIGHT BLACK SKY is and ALL THE PIECES will soon be available in Australian shops and internationally through www.vitamin.net.au now
