..Hello all and welcome to the official Myspace of Jim Molyneux.. .. .. ..Biography...... ..Jim Molyneux.. took up percussion at the age of seven, as he had been hitting buckets and ironing boards from a much earlier age! ..Eleven years later, he is a student at the RNCM in Manchester, where he studies percussion..... In 2008 Jim made it to the Grand Final of the ..BBC Young Musician of the Year.., which was televised on BBC 2 to 1.1 million viewers. From this experience he also gained the opportunity to perform a solo recital at London's Wigmore Hall..... Classical playing aside, Jim also plays keys, accordion and sings in the folk fusion band ..4Square.., who have made a big impact on the British festival circuit, this year playing at many festivals, including ..Fairport's Cropredy Convention.. to 25,000 people... He also has played occasional solo spots on accordion and vocals, supporting bands such as Sweet Billy PIgrim, and is set to support Swedish phsychadelica band Dungen on their UK tour. ......"...very much one of Manchester's next generation of stars in waiting, and his weapon of choice is an accordion. And you have hever heard anything like it.
