Bio
Jim Allen Day released his first solo cd 'In My Head' in 2008 after years of working in bands and being a musician for hire. 'In My Head' has started Jim on a path of exploration and like the title suggests has opened the doors to his mind for others to peak. The songs 'The Force', 'I Dream In Color' and the title track in particular represent a style Jim has borrowed from his musical heroes The Police, Genesis and Peter Gabriel among others and taken down his own path. In 2009 Jim got back together with his old bandmates Yank My Jane to record their self-titled cd. The disc was a fitting end to document the quirky band that hadn't recorded earlier but were an entertaining live act. Jim shared writing and vocal duties with Mike Forbus. The two songwriters split the 10 songs to craft some of their most polished work with the anchor of Trey Weinberg on drums. The songs 'Ballad of the Lonesome Skywriter' and 'Words' seem to best represent the eccentric style Yank My Jane had carried on from musical heroes like the Who, Talking Heads, Smashing Pumpkins and Roxy Music. Jim got work in 2010 demoing over 30 songs with long time friend Thorn who had done the artwork on both 'In My Head' and 'Yank My Jane' as well as his band Standing Flat's discs earlier in the decade. The demos covered a wide spectrum including a concept album called 'Road to Nowhere' that Jim hopes to release soon. In July of 2010 Jim moved to Austin to take his music to a larger musical community. After going out on the road as a hired gun, and playing some local shows Jim demoed a new group of songs for the Darkest Days EP and decided to head west to Las Vegas. Stay tuned! -

I read the news Jim... Dude, I'd rather go into battle with a one legged hero than a fully fit coward any day. Press for the mark!
We need a band or bands to cover 5 total events on the Sundays bordering Thanksgiving. Were heading to the Carolinas for a brief tour. If you know of anyone, please advise ~

Thorn teamed with Jim as his writing partner and the guys demoed over thirty songs before Jim's move to Austin, Texas in July of 2010. Jim met songwriter William Foster in Austin and formed the duo Foster Day and recorded the Darkest Days ep with Brad Lynch. When summer rolled around in 2011 Jim decided to go west wound up in Las Vegas for his next musical venture.
