Movies
National Lampoons Loaded Weapon - possibly the funniest film ever :D what else what else.... Pulp Fictions always a winner, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is god damn funny... Lord of the Rings Trilogy is always good on a Sunday (a nice way to chillout for 9 hours)... some cool German film called Funny Games - god its so fucked up, SEE IT!!
I like my films, a lot. But its rare a film hits the spot with me, although ill quite happily watch anything. Hell, I went to the Cinema to see Narnia the other day!!! Used to help out at a video shop so have seen ALOT of films made prior 2003...
Television
I watch a lot of Comedy style stuff.... Peter Kay, Phoenix Nights, Bill Bailey, Jack Dee, Adam and Joe, Harry Hill - oh i love Harry Hill is so funnny! completely random!
Wellllll, I've had a terrible week. I've had that, erm, Anthrax, have you had that? Diarrhoea, blood in the urine, the liver was disintegrating... and i found the only thing that really helped... was Lemsip. Just took the edge off.
Bad Boy, Dirty Boy in your BED!
If you get a letter and you don't know who it's from, just run after the postman and shout "1471"!
My father used to say to me always fight fire with fire. And that's why he was thrown out of the fire brigade
What is it about people who repair shoes, that make them so good at cutting keys?
Also, Spaced - brilliant series, Black Books, Top Gear is quality, Simpsons, Gamesmaster, Takeshis Castle, Channel U for laughing at East London hoodlums, oh, and Pop World, cause Amstell is a funny old bean and the bird is hot in a weird kind of way :D
Books
Hmmm dont read much to be honest, time is an issue. I like Biographys and Auto-Biographys, I can appreciate a persons life story as you can learn from it, I dont see the point in reading Fantasy - if you want Fantasy, get out in the real world and live the dream.... Just read the John Peel autobiography, his part was OK but his missus cant write for shit.
Heroes
Frank Sinatra, Quincy Jones, Carl Cox, Adam Buxton, Joe Cornish, Charlie Brooker, plus got a lot of respect for anyone who beats the system...
What I Do : I'm a DJ, going under the name of Jimmy Brayks, playing breaks and breakbeat. I run a website called nuskoolbreaks.co.uk - which has over 14,000 users and has been voted Best Website four years running at the Breakspoll International Breakbeat Awards. Part of the website is an internet radio station, which plays breaks live 7 days a week. I also run and promote events, mainly breaks parties now, around London. Have also just started a company producing music compilations, I had one out last year and that done really well. For (proper!) work, I run my own design and print company, specialising in nightclub flyers, posters and tickets.
Back in the day, I used to run Epidemik raves alongside Grant, which was a good laugh and taught me a lot (i.e how to do all the donkey work). We was responsible for some pretty good events going off at Canvas (Bagleys), Camden Palace, SeONE, Rex and many more. I also used to run Paradox Promotions Street Team / Flyer Distribution for about 4 years, but too many late nights done my head in, so I jacked it in!
As for me, im about 6ft, well-built athletic build, blonde hair, blue eyes, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 feet... a pretty standard bloke really!
What I Like : Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll - well Music in general, clubbing, gadgets - anything really apart from iPods (get with the NOW!), beautiful tall brunette women, dark brown eyes I can get lost in, appreciating the great outdoors, driving with the window open, ice in my drinks, girls with a good dress sense, great artwork, paper quality (bizarre), good comedy, people who make me laugh, good music, double-dropping two records together, fresh bread, the hit of hard liquor, scarfs, quality "me" time. More recently, I'm liking Beer again - Fosters Super-Chilled. Also, Black Russians, for these are ye drinks of ze Kings. Im also partial to going down the Gym at a ridiculous early time and running for a few hours....
What I Dont Like : The Daily Mail, having cold feet, people who let you down, The Post Office, Traffic Wardens, Speed Cameras, people who drive too slow, Post Office workers who steal my records, over-protective women, women who cant make up their minds, iPods, people who dont read things properly and then moan they dont understand it, Ford Ka's, Cheques, Barclaycard, friends who owe me money, Rain, wearing your jeans low and showing off your boxer shorts, people who think they are ghetto....
What I Say : "Barrys Talcum Powder", "Daddy!", "Anal Warrrrt", "You farkin knows it clarrrt", "Fucking Clown Shoes", "You want my biscuits? Well you can't have me biscuits", "wickedandabad", "Sorry i cant come out im too busy working", "Hello, Print Sales" ('kin work!)
What Tunes Are Rocking It Right Now : Damien Marley - Welcome to Jamrock (yes STILL, the tune of the Summer / Winter / My Phone), Who's Who? - Sexy Fuck (you are a SEXY FUCK!), Ministry of Sound Sessions 9 & 10, the new Steve Angello Ministry compilation, loads of big breaks records too, and a fat serving of drum and bass, adam and joe xfm podcasts, plus of course Copseys CDs she done me, which are the nuts!
