Producer Jimmy Deer began performing professionally at age 13 in rock bands in the Midwest. Since this early introduction to the music business, there have been many milestones, including signing and touring the US as frontman for TVT Records live/ electronic band Baldwin Brothers. Jimmy shared the stage with such artists as Common, Deathcab for Cutie, Lenny Kravitz, Cypress Hill, and Soul Asylum among others. The band was featured in Rolling Stone, Spin, and BPM culture. He also toured Japan and performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival with legendary DJ Roy Davis Jr. In 2002, he left the world of performance to focus on writing and production.

Since leaving the stage for the studio, Jimmy has been fortunate to work with such artists as Seal, India.Arie, Trey Songz, and is currently working with Musiq Soulchild, new Geffen artist Demi Rose, and Norwegian Idol winner Oda Evjen.
