THE CAZADORIANS are my studio's "on fire" A team rhythm section which include some of the finest musicians in the world. On guitar is Paul Warren of Rod Stewart, who is a life long friend and bandmate since 1973. Paul played lead guitar on "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone" for Motown's Temptations when he was in his mid-teens! On bass is Bob Birch from the Elton John Band who is another life long friend and bandmate since 1963 when I was in the 7th grade and he was in the 4th.
I am also blessed to have visiting guest artist contributions: Detroit legend Bobby Lewis plays guitar on "Already There." David Scott of K-Ci and Jojo plays guitar on "My Faded Soul" and "My Heart To Your Heart." My opening song, "Rise", features a new friend on bass, Keith Washington. On tenor sax is "honorary funk brother" Rocky Tatarelli a renowned Detroit horn player. The tenor player on "My Heart To Your Heart is another Detroit former band mate, Wayne Wayne.
It is thrilling to tell you that playing live drums has returned as a joy in my life again. I am currently in the middle of my project of replacing my original programmed drum machine drums on my songs with my real live drums after nearly a 20 year hiatus from live drumming. My music is always a work in progress and mix updates are ongoing. Taking time away from producing my client's music to work on my own music is tough sometimes but it is a realistic attainable goal for me.
