Addicted to music. That's my story. I'm musician and music journalist who spends most of life either playing guitar and singing, or sitting at the computer writing other peoples' stories.
I live in San Francisco, and love to spend time in New Orleans cause that's da goods! My CD Surfin' the Swamp is a SF/NOLA hybrid with Pacific vibes and greasy grooves. Galactic's rhythm section of Stanton Moore and Robert Mercurio played drums and bass on the recordings. Thanks fellas. Garland Paul & Sam Price from the Honey Island Swamp Band played drums and bass on "She Belongs." That's a wild story on its own. You see, after Katrina, a bunch of NOLA musicians moved to SF. I hooked up the Honey Island Swamp Band through regular gigs at the Boom Boom Room, and I contributed to the CD. You can hear it at myspace.com/honeyislandswampband. Those boys are back in New Orleans now, God bless 'em.
I'm call my little network of players in SF and NOLA the Jimmy Leslie Connection. In addition to Garland and Sam, it includes: Bassists Mark Calderon (Zigaboo Modeliste, Albino!), Peter the World Beater Canton, (the Ritual) and Jonathan Herrera (Bass Player Magazine), drummers Shani Johnson (London Street), and Chris DeJohn (Eric Lindell), keyboardists Jordan Feinstein (the Ritual), Joel Nelson (Bo Diddley), and guitarist Sean Leahy (Four Year Bender).
I'm currently working on some wild new guitar approaches and fleshing out the next batch tunes with the working title "Bay to Bayou."
In addition to my own project, I play gigs with Shana Morrison (Van's girl), LunaGroove (livetronica), and occasionally with the Honey Island Swamp Band when we're in the same city. I write regularly for Guitar Player and Bass Player.
Through playing and writing, I've hooked up with tons of great musicians and music heads everywhere from Jazz Fest to Burning Man. I'm looking forward to connecting with more good folks who share the same passion for music and good livin'!

Hey, Jimmy A great pleasure meeting you on Saturday. Thanks for being at the show and for all your help. Please keep in touch. Rock on, Dan Peters and The West Side Winders
Sure thing, man - You can see a "big production" (sort of) video at www. myspace. com/scottishmcmillanmusic. Hope you like! (No good video of the Right Rongly yet - but we might poke around for some good stuff from our show at The Rave in Milwaukee earlier this year.)
Letting you know that the band I play keys and sing in will be performing a live gig on Saturday March 22nd, 2008 @ the Presidio Yacht Club in Sausalito.
We are Jhana, a four piece Psychedelic, Fusion, Jazz-Rock musical entity, consisted of; Steve Nicolini - Bass/Vocals, James Harman - Guitar, Rhyne Erde - Drums & Garret Leutbecher - Keys/Vocals.
We play original tunes, and would love to have you there to boogie down with us and groove!! Please, if you can make it, come on down.
There is no "door cover charge", but bring money to purchase drinks and food as there is a killer bar/restaurant.
If you have an further questions you can browse on over to our page and click the link for the gig, and sample our music while you're there.
Thanks for your time, hope to see you there with us!
