Always appreciating your talent and tunes Jimmy. We're performing Friday September 11th at the Peace Concert in Charlottesville, Va. if you'll be in town. Looking forward to catching up with one of your shows. Many Blessings, JW
Jimmy o' Thursdays have marked many firsts and lasts in my life...I don't know who I would be today without you Jimmy! In fact, I believe I should be a top friend...I am your biggest fan as you know! :o) ...Thanx for the beautiful music...I have your finnigans dates marked in my calendar!
Where have all the flowers gone? Can't remember the name of the bar I used to come watch you play in...but I always requested that song. Happy to see you doing so well!
Hey again, Jimmy. I've been busy looking for work, but I wanted to thank you for the suggestions. Yeah, I like "Desiree" too. Good song, but I didn't know about Stories and "Brother Louie", or Mike Brown's involvement. I'll definitely have a listen to "Stories" and "About Us". Looking forward to hearing "I Am the Cosmos" also, for more of that Big Star sound from Chris Bell. Also, on reserve at the library is that Rob Jovanovic book you mentioned. Of course, I've already got 15 books out! :D Memphis. Still haven't been there. Loved Nashville, though. Hope you have a good weekend, man.
jimmy, it's great to be able to chat with you again. 'pretty ballerina' was the b-side to 'walk away...'. i bought the 45 shortly after i heard your rendition of the song. i also like that tune, but i like 'she may call you up tonight' even better. i've been learning about big star tonight, also. another great band! cheers to you too, my friend.
hey there, jimmy. it's jay rivers again, from the c-ville/boar's head inn days (early 90s). i just left a comment about you and one of my all-time favorite songs. your version was the first i ever heard of it. here's the link to the song's page, if anyone wants to check it out... http://www.last.fm/music/The+Left+Banke/_/Walk+Away+Renee
