My given name is Jim Dorholt. I've been fortunate enough to have stayed busy as a Drummer in some great blues/roots bands in the Phoenix area and through my association with the Rhythm Room I've gotten to back some great national blues and roots players. In May of 2006 I was honored to be inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame.
"Jimmy Pines" is my solo project. I wanted to be able to play some of the old Hillbilly and country blues that doesn't have much in the way of drum parts like Jimmy Rodgers and Hank Williams. That has expanded to include some Delta blues, and original material. It's alot of fun and if you've got a party or a place that serves up liquor or good ol' homestyle eats, I'd love to work out a deal.
