Our influences could go on for days, but here are a few that i think everyone would agree on: The Allman Brothers, Frank zappa, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Steely Dan, Coltrane, Rush, Phish, Soulive, Government Mule, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Stevie Wonder,Bruce Hornsby, John Scofield, Santana,Ben Folds, Stevie Ray Vaughn, James Brown, Jaco Pastorious, Red hot chili peppers, Grateful Dead, Umphreys Mcgee, Moe, Karl Denson and all the good musicians we know & jam with around town.

Like an Original band that writes original songs for the sake of writing original Music. Not like a compressed, souled out, pop icon, wanna-be next one hit wonder. Sounds like a band you should check out.
Jive Soul is a progressive rock/jamband that has been together for about 5 years now. With many ups and downs in our line-up, we have still managed to keep our drive for good music alive. We are currently working on adding some shows to our calendar. We have members in separate cities so this tends to compromise the booking a bit. However, if you see our name on a flyer come check us out, Auburn rated Jive Soul "Best band for a party". That's what we specialize in: jamming, partying, jamming,dancing, jamming, and then partying a lot more. Although we aren't playing much right now you can catch Aaron Branson performing with his various groups such as: *Cheemo's Creation & Nationwide Coverage, as well as a variety of UAB bands like UAB Jazz Ensemble and Honors jazz combo. You can catch Will playing around town with the "grooviest damn band in the southland,"Feijoada, & The Will$Cash Jazz Quartet(Aaron Branson also included), as well as UAB Jazz Ensemble. Jason Olenick also performs in Auburn from time to time with a group known as "The Bobby Key Band."
