Jacqueline has been singing since before she could speak in complete sentences. Her mother used to sing her to sleep every night with the hymn "In The Garden" and Jacqueline started singing it back to her before she could speak. Her first public performance was a semi-regular gig sitting in with the rock band at the local pizza parlor when she was three years old. From that time on, music was in her heart. Her influences ranged from the outlaw sounds of Waylon Jennings to the power vocals of Linda Ronstadt to the sweet sweet harmonies of The Eagles.
She started taking piano lessons at age five and began teaching piano to beginners during high school. She expanded her studies to include all percussion instruments during that time as well.
On a drive through Nashville during the Christmas holidays, she saw a downtown building lit up with the words Peace On Earth and decided Nashville would be her home someday.
The summer before she was to begin classes at Vanderbilt University to study percussion in Nashville, her parents took her to see Cats. It was a turning point in her life in that she realized that she didn't want to be in the orchestra pit with the musicians, she wanted to be on stage performing. Her move to Nashville was postponed, as she went to the University of Miami and earned a BFA in theatre performance. After graduation, she worked in the Miami theater circuit and soon started modeling on South Beach. She was signed by Ford Models and did national print ads for clients ranging from K-Mart to Spiegel and JC Penney. Although the work was exciting and lucrative, she still dreamed of being in Nashville and singing and writing her own music. Determined to make her dream a reality, she saved up enough money through modeling and made the move.
Since arriving home, she has been honored to work with some of the best and most successful songwriters in town. She has performed at well-known venues such as the Bluebird Café, Douglas Corner, Billy Block's Western Beat Show and at BMI Showcases at the Exit/In and 12th & Porter. She was also the entertainment at mile 15 of the Country Music Marathon and participated in the National Mamapalooza Festival from inception thru 2009.
