JJ Lavallee (Métis)
JJ was born & raised in the community of St. Ambroise, Manitoba.
JJ started singing at the age of six & by the age of nine had picked up his first guitar.
When JJ turned sixteen, he found himself playing regularly with his
Uncle Dave Lavallee. This talented family includes such groups as "The
Lavallee Tradition" & the "Darren Lavallee Band".
His is a soulful songwriter & accomplished musician on the fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bass, & drums.
2005 / 2006 JJ's debut album “Jimmy’s Breakdown” captured the 2006 – Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Award for “Best Fiddle CD”. His new 2007 release “Carry On” is a pleasing array of straight up country. A joy to listen to from beginning to end.
JJ Lavallee is a long-time crowd favorite & these two CD’s are just the
beginning of what is to come from this talented, well-rounded artist.
He is also proud to anounce he now has Canadian wide distribution at C.D Plus
With his Fourth Nomination in three years J.J has formed his first Band-100 Years Rising, and has many new goals set out.
