Well, I'm not really a band, just a cool cat called JJ. I do like to get involved, so I've selected a few of purrsonal fave tracks that my human, Steve Swindells, has written. The first track is called Six Degrees and was written, performed and produced by SS in Cornwall last June. It's featured on Steve's new online album 'Demos For The Departed' (www.isound.com/steve_swindells_gb). The second track is It Doesn't Work by DanMingo (which is on the DanMingo double album Leap Of Faith - The Prequel, available to download below) and that's Dale Davis from Amy Winehouse's band guesting on bass 'cos Winston was playing with Robbie Williams, Massive Attack or Phil Collins or whoever. I chose it 'cos of those Lion King-stylee vocals on the intro. No, it's not a sample, it's SS singing. He wrote the song too. Then it funks man! I'm sure I'm African you know - I mean, just look at me! Rooooaarrr! Check for the lyrics in puss-casts, well, ok... blogs. Track 3 is a funky backing track by SS which was originally recorded and performed by Wicked Uncle Woo for the kidz @ Xmas. My human wants a really soulful singer to write and sing the top line. Could it be you, Mary J? Jill Scott? Mario Wynans? Come on! The fourth track is called Now Voyager and is the first Thing that Jon Moss and SS did together and therefore led to the creation of DanMingo... how SPACEY is that? No, not Kevin Spacey, just, you know... spooky... oh, and the recently added fifth track is a new SS demo recorded in my sumptious domain, sorry, his studio, and is called 'In Your Eyes and is dedicated to Barbara & Muffin. A version with Jerry Richards on guitar is now Steve's solo album - see below. The sixth track is My Pocket Guru, which is co-written with Britain's top female rapper Lady Sovereign. Jerry's now added guitars, and it's on my human's double solo album as well along with a whole heap of purrfectly pleasing new tunes.

My human is called Steve Swindells. He's a cool singer/songwriter and in a band called DanMingo and he gives me fabulously expensive & exotic cat food and I sleep on his bed a lot, unless, well *cough*, you know, he's got company, although I still try until I get kicked off. Soon, I will be more famous than Garfield. There are some similarities, it has to be said: yes, I'm ginger, but I'm not fat and much more handsome and tiger-esque. So there. My human has been taking loads of digipics and has been making some cartoons featuring, well, me, of course. Purrrrrrrrrrrr. Winston was busy recording in NYC, so Alec from Dirth stepped-in at short notice to play bass!
