FYI: I have a new project to be released in early 2010 as a 3-piece between myself and my friends and favorite songwriters David Pendery (Denver, Co), and Mark Dahm (Sioux Falls, SD). We've been working on random material for the past few years, but are now focusing on some great new music. It will be an acoustic trio with myself singing and playing acoustic guitar, Dave on bass, and Mark on drums. Expect shows in CO, MN, and SD in 2010. Plus, I have 2 songs written towards my childrens album... which I have inspiration from daily as you can imagine as a 1st grade teacher. I'll post updates as they come!
And while I'm finally editing this for the first time in a year, let me also respond to emails about the songs. Say Anything I wrote about a special person in my life a long time ago, it's a love story. Feeling You was written while I was living in London, and was written about a British girl I barely knew. Nothing more. Holed-Up was about days on the road... and And She Said was written about bars and girls (deep, I know). Intuition was the first song I ever wrote in college, and it was written about my mother and how I wanted to prove myself. Kiss Me is written about what will come about at some point in life.
Sorry I have to keep sending you to myspace... but it's the easiest way to keep music out there without having to create a website!

Through the years I've had the amazing opportunity to play with great bands, musicians, and friends. From Stealing June to Panoramic Blue, from arenas filled with 10,000 people to college cafeterias with 10 people, and from playing with local bands to Maroon 5, Train, Journey, Everclear, or Sugar Ray to name only a few... it's been quite the ride. It's certainly not over, though I'm excited that things have slowed down quite a bit.
Now that I have finished my Masters in Education, along with my MN and CO teaching licensure, I live in Denver, Colorado and couldn't be happier! I'm so excited about the move, and though I miss friends and family back home, I'll be back to visit often. I now teach 1st grade at a wonderful school and couldn't be more fortunate about where I've landed!
Once settled a bit, I plan to continue writing and playing music in the Denver area. I also plan to visit Minnesota for a few weekends of acoustic shows during the summer months. Check here for updated shows and music.
PLEASE don't hold it against me if I never reply to myspace emails or questions... I'm just plain bad at it! Take care everyone and enjoy the beautiful fall before winter hits!
