I'd like to thank my co-writers, not only for coming up with great melodies for my songs, but they are also the ones singing the songs on here. Thanks to Scott Hunt, Matt Meek, Kevin Mason Jodi Ann, and Eva Wilson. Thanks to Connie Meek for singing the vocals on "A Lonely Ride" demo. Matt and Connie Meek also recorded the demo for "I'm Just Heading Home". I have more songs being worked on by other co-writers, putting melodies to the lyrics. I'll be posting more songs as I get them completed so keep checking.
Influences
My influences are well written songs. I don't just listen to the beat, I listen to the words. I love southern gospel and country music. I'll listen to anything good though. Being raised on southern gospel, I didn't start listening to country music until my mid teen years. When I heard Hank Jr. singing "Gonna Go Hunting Tonight", I was hooked. I'm a huge Bocephus fan. Some of my other favorites growing up were Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, George Jones, and Vern Gosdin. I still love the classic traditional country sound. I like southern rock, bluegrass, classic rock, heck, if it has a good sound, I'll listen to it.
Sounds Like
A little bit of old time foot stomping gospel, a little bit of soul searching bring a tear to your eye gospel, some rowdy kicking country, a little I'm all alone and heart broken country..........a little bit of everything and a whole lot of me.
Well, let me start with, I have been happily married for 15 years. Me and my wife, Carol, ( Coonie to her family and friends), have 4 beautiful children. We have 15 yr old twin daughters, a 6 yr old daughter, and a 3 yr old son. My kids are my reason for living and my purpose for wanting to better myself. I was born, raised, and still live in southeast Georgia.
I've been writing since I was a young boy. It started out as little poems. My first poem was about why Santa should bring me an Atari for Christmas. That should tell you how long ago that was. Eventually I wrote more serious poems and that led to songwriting. I've just recently decided to take a chance and pursue my dream of being a successful songwriter. I'd love to hear my songs on the radio. Of course, I'd love to make good money off of songwriting. I just want to provide a better life for my kids. I write mostly gospel and country lyrics, but some of them could even go as bluegrass, southern rock, or soft rock.
Living in a small town out in the middle of nowhere, and not being able to do the melodies myself, makes it harder to reach my goals. Luckily, I've met some great songwriters on myspace who are willing to collaborate with a new comer. A big thank you to all of them. Any other songwriters who want to collaborate and put some music to my lyrics, give me a holler.

Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C s. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.

One can only be inspired if one is willing to take action and seek inspiration. Like the Nike ad that insists, “Just do it,” pushing yourself and taking action gets results. Ask yourself this question, “How do I get inspired?” Think of past inspirational moments. What were you doing? Where were you? Was anyone with you? Inspiration can come from almost anywhere, at any time and often from unlikely sources.

Has anyone ever told you that many times when they were sad your stickers, autographs,
e-mails, tags, comments (and chats) made them smile a bit, sometimes a lot? I know their have been times I have laughed good and hard at something someone has sent to me!!!
Many times you make someones day, and sometimes that day is mine...
For the time you spend sending things
and sharing whatever you find
there are no words to thank you, but I think your kindness should be acknowledged.
Has anyone ever told you
just how much they care about you?
Well, My Dear Friend
Today I am telling you.
I HOPE I GET THIS BACK
I believe that without a special
friend you are missing out on a lot!!!
But don't just send it back, send it on to everyone
