Biography:

After years of playing the keys by rocking out with Long Island cover bands, llving in the studio, working on solo-projects and crafting pop groups – Jayson Litrio began working and touring with Grammy-winning artist Ashanti in 2005 as one of her keyboardists. Promotion for her latest record (2008-2009) led the crew to performances on shows like Jay Leno, Regis & Kelly, and Good Morning America – as well as studio performances for Yahoo Music (Pepsi Smash), AOL Sessions, and Wal-Mart Soundcheck.. They have performed at many classic venues, including NY’s Hammerstein Ballroom, the Nokia Theater, and the Knitting Factory, The Grove in LA, and at popular Casino venues such as Fallsview in Canada and Foxwoods in the US. A recent journey to Oklahoma had them in front of nearly 18,000 fans, sharing the stage with Country star Trace Adkins for the US Army. They've performed together with artists like Nelly and Ja Rule, and Jayson has gone as far as Indonesia with the band, sharing the stage with Akon and other artists for SoulNation.

Prior to all of this, Jayson’s other talents were always recognized. You may have seen him on MTV with his group After All, singing on TRL. His humor-based website in the mid 90’s (Eggzone Magazine) also hit MTV, bringing in thousands of fans without his knowledge in mere minutes - the same website was nominated for HBO’s ‘Best of the Web’. You may have seen him on Saturday Night Live, floating in the background, ironically in an MTV-based skit with actor Jack Black. Jayson has released video game arrangements, just for fun, that have been downloaded a shocking amount of times by game music fans around the world (and still counting).

Born in Brooklyn, NY; Jayson lived his early childhood in Queens and then moved to Long Island at age 11. His music is nothing more than what has inspired him over the years; growing up on the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd and Billy Joel, he believes, affected him quite a bit. Later, his pop obsession got him fascinated with studying the music of Take That and Robbie Williams in the UK, Kylie Minogue in Australia, The Corrs in Ireland, songwriter Max Martin, and Ace of Base in Sweden. Still, his favorite band is Dream Theater – and he believes the native Long Island band has the most talent he’s ever seen in one group – and has said that he isn’t sure “if they are even human beings.”

Jayson currently resides in Nashville TN, where he is focusing on his writing craft and appreciating the small-town vibe, a big change compared to the fast-paced lifestyle of New York that he was previously used to living.
