Johnny La Rock & Mush Mouth was formed in 2004 by Eddie Fleisher and Aaron Donahoo - the name reflected their rap aliases. In the beginning, they were backed by their laptop DJ, Subroc (Matt Michaels). Shortly after the release of their first EP, Hip-Hop Needs Us, they replaced him with chrismick (Chris Mick), who not only worked their sound live, but also became an integral part of the group, making beats and producing their singles that later followed. These singles appeared on various compilations, such as their label's Necker Cube series, and on Game Music 4 All's Here Comes A New Challenger. In 2008, FURFACE (Vinnie Furman) joined as a DJ/Producer, making it a foursome. He and chrismick would rotate for live shows. In December of '08, the group called it quits after a four year run. Johnny La Rock, chrismick, and FURFACE are now working together in Presque Vu, while Mush is now a solo artist.
Johnny La Rock & Mush Mouth opened for the following national hip-hop artists: Aceyalone, Z-Trip, Gift Of Gab, P.O.S., Sims, Electroshockbox, Mac Lethal, Fat Lip, Omni, Subtle, Buck 65, MC Paul Barman, Heiruspecs, Solillaquists Of Sound, Spank Rock, Dj J Storm, Grey Matter, Mystechs, Eibol, K-The-I???, MC Lars, MC Frontalot, Optimus Rhyme, Suburban Legends, Patent Pending, Qwel, Robust, Ceschi, as well as numerous others.
