Personal influences include bands like Nirvana, Pink Floyd, Dave Matthews Band, The Tea Party (to name a few), as well as guitarists such as Tommy Emmanuel, Don Ross, and Adrew White
Growing up in a tiny town in Cape Breton, Jason MacIsaac has been raised and surrounded by all types of music his whole life. Beginning guitar at the age of 14, Jason got an early start in music playin in bands throughout high school before moving to Halifax (Nova Scotia) to persue a career in the business.
His first experience in Halifax was playing guitar with Satellite Rides, where he performed with acts such as Blue Rodeo, Jimmy Rankin and Staggered Crossing, Matt Mays and The Trews before fronting his own project called Silvergun, in which he performed with April Wine.
Jason now performs both solo and play guitar in The Stanfields.
