John Michael has been building a strong following with frequent performances in and around the Central Arkansas area. Prior to relocating to Little Rock, AR from his native New Orleans, John could be found performing solo and along with local bands in the famous French Quarter. Singing since the age of 8, John developed an early love for the guitar. His talents in arrangement and composition lends itself heavily to his mastery of the acoutic. Currently preparing his "1.5" EP release. John has managed to bridge the gap between adult contemporary (grown folks music) and urban pop.
Born and raised in New Orleans, LA. Life revolves around music and art, plus I was raised by more than a hand-full of musicians. About 85 percent of the members in my family either sing or play an instrument. I started learning guitar when I was 18 and I've been singing since I can remember. Age 15 was when I knew in my heart that I wanted to become a professional recording artist and producer, but I never thought in my wildest dreams that I'd become a guitar player. It's funny how things work out. I write, produce, and mix my own music. I'm a lover and a club kid, not a fighter, and everything I write about are past experiences. All of my songs represent a story in my life. My cousin Colin once told me, "If you're gonna write, write about what you're about." And that stuck with me ever since. Though this journey that I've taken on may have have some ups and downs, the experience and knowledge is priceless. I thank GOD everday for my gift and blessing me with four of the strongest musical influences I've ever had: My Uncles: "Dicky" (Guitar), "Big Alvin" (Trumpet), my aunt "Nanny Annie" (Creative Writing) and my Cousin Colin (Voice). My message is to anyone who has a dream... Follow it! That's the only way you'll ever be happy. Stay true too yourself and you'll be self rewarded in the end! (@JoHnMiChAeL@)

Hey, thanks for the add! Honestly, I don't really listen to your style of music much, but your songs strike me as the sort of tunes that you suddenly realize you're playing in your head or humming.
