J'Nay, is a British singer, who became known to the music industry in 2003 when he won the MOBO award for MOBO Unsung artist of the year. The singer from West London was discovered in Singing @ the london venue Sound. As a result he was signed by record company Universal Island and arist management company Shalit Global (owned by Charlotte Church's former manager Johnathan Shalit). He began writing with many industry names such as Brian Rawlins, Lamont Dozier, Guy Chambers and Lisa Stansfeild.
During this time he began doing public appearances on televisions shows such as ITV's GMTV and BBC's CBBC. In 2004, he began touring with UK artist Jamelia. He later split wih both his record company and his management company for reasons that are unknown. He currently continues to do live performance and collaborations
in 2005 Jnay spent some time teaching and mentoring other young artists/performers, whilst performing in vvarious venues up and down the country. the last being the founding member of JLS.
In 2008 jnay released his E.P Merry go round which featured works from the previous years including Lively which featured on an episode of Britans next top model and launched the E.P.
Currently Jnay is working on project X why seiing jnay team up with Talented producer Guan Juan. together the two bring electro pop, funk n' soul to the public. 2009 saw the launch and release of their first and second single.
Jnay's moto is to "Inspire to be inspired and Roll on Dreamers"
