Really, this could be worse. | | Books | Fiction: "A Yellow Raft in Blue Water," "The Book of Laughter and Forgetting," "Memoirs of a Geisha," "Call of the Wild," anything Restoration era, anything by Louise Erdrich, "Mysteries of Pittsburgh," "Tiger Eyes", "Red Earth and Pouring Rain
Non-Fiction: "Odd Girl Out," "A Tribe Apart," "Reading the Fights," "Seven Daughters of Eve", "The Runner's Bible."
Totally Guilty Pleasures: "The Witching Hour," "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," "Bitch in the House."
Childrens: "Where the Wild Things Are," "Hey, Moonface." | | Heroes | Cleopatra, Hilary Clinton, Ali, Daphne, that woman who started "Children of the Night," Oprah (shut up), Anne Richards, Dave Parker, Fred Rogers. People sucked into Twitter.

About me:
I know - you all miss the old profile where I basically called America "fat" while talking about how I was about to hit the road and have a Big Mac. I miss it too, but all things must change. Here's where we are now: I'm loving 33. Vegas is coming to an end for me, I think, and I'm a little sad about that. I painted my bedroom pink last year and rediscovered how girly I am. I'm emotionally graceful and physically clumsy. The other day I said to my best friend "Are there any men out there who don't need a woman to manage their life?" and she said "Sadly, no. Even the good ones need to be managed." I have three cats and I'm not apologetic for that because it's only a cliche if you don't enter into it willingly. I think that liberal Democrats don't represent me and conservative Republicans don't understand me and that there's nothing wrong with believing in a God no matter how you define that. Sometimes I close my eyes and it feels like I'm actually floating. I often feel like I'd be most happy waiting tables in Hawaii (often). I walk a fine line between total self-loathing and amazing self love, but that's a survival technique I only developed after years of crash and burn. I have four tats, one piercing, seven healed broken bones, one bruised heart and an extra bone where they removed a tail when I was born. No joke.
