I'm a composer and have a passion for unusual and intriguing sounds. I mainly write 'contemporary classical' music and yet I am not afraid to wander into electronic territories.
I'm currently working on a chamber opera, some film music for an old surrealist's dreams, a choir piece in the spirit of Monteverdi (again) and a trip to a more popular place on the back of old Latvian melodies.

Kan een beetje als een moderne versie van een theorbe gezien worden: basnoten op onderste snaren, gecombineerd met 2- of 3klank met terts, septiem, none... op bovenste snaren. Hey Joachim, good to hear from you! Things are fine here in sunny breezy Aldeburgh, even some swimming in the sea!
I'm leaving Aldeburgh at the end of the month to try living back in London again, (I've rented a desk in a community of other freelance writers/photographers), but have agreed with a friend I can come up to Alde 2 days a week to chillout and have crazy ideas by the sea.
That's fantastic news re your opera congratulations! Please tell me more, who is is with/commissioned by? Who's writing the libretto? Premiere date/venue yet? Subject?
The piece which I wrote the libretto for is finally to be premiered during the 'November Music Festival' on November 18th, at the Verkadefabriek (?) in 'Den'Bosch, Netherlands.
