I was born in 1984, in a jazz environment. My father, a professional saxophone player, 'opened my ears' to music at a very early age.
At the age of 16, after several years as a bass-guitar player, I discovered jazz and the double-bass, thanks to a master-class with the guitarist Eric Löhrer.
I was a student at the American School of Modern Music for three years, and I studied classical music with Christian Gentet at the conservatory of Paris XIV.
Then I entered the jazz department of the CNSMDP (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris).
I studied the double-bass with Alphonse Masselier, Olivier Sens, Hubert Dupont, Diego Imbert, Riccardo Del Fra, Jérôme Regard, Ben Street...
I'm working with the great jazz historian and drummer Georges Paczynski since 2006.
Since 2008, I'm a member of the bands 'Thomas Enhco & Co.', and 'Didier Lockwood and the Jazz Angels'.

Geoffrey Secco a su créer un univers métissé, entre jazz, soul,
hip hop, rock et électro.
"Jam with the electro", son premier album, témoigne de ses
diverses influences, croisement entre les genres et les styles,
offrant au public une palette de sonorités nouvelles et innovantes.
Accompagné de Armel Dupas (piano), Ronan Courty
(contrebasse), Gaëtan Allard (batterie) et Lorenz Rainer
(trompette), il nous propose un univers de métissage et
d’improvisation.
J'espère que tu vas bien. Ça y est, le nouvel album est enfin dans les bacs (voilà bien une expression que l'on utilisera plus encore bien longtemps, je le crains!!) depuis le 26/10... ... et je n'en suis pas peu fier !!
