Joachim Kunze gehört zu den interessantesten Trompetern Europas. Warme, gefühlvolle Töne bis hin zu messerscharfen Highnotes im viergestrichenen Bereich, sein Klangspektrum füllt die ganze Bandbreite der Trompete aus. Das machte ihn zu einem gefragten Trompeter in Funk, Rock und Big Bands. Inzwischen konzentriert er sich hauptsächlich auf seine eigenen Projekte, die Band Firehorns (www.firehorns.de), das Blechbläserquintett Brass Mission, TZA WA Solokonzerte, sowie Kompositionen für die unterschiedlichsten Besetzungen (Big Band, Blechbläserquintett, Trompetenensemble u.v.m.). Joachim Kunze ist Lehrer für Blechblasinstrumente und Fachbereichsleiter an der Musikschule Friedberg, als Endorser der Firma Jupiter er gibt er Workshops für Blechbläser und Big Bands.
