Far more interesting than your conventional duo and keeping up with the changes of technology, Jo and the Flood are a breath of fresh air in an industry growing stale of emerging acts. In fact almost everything about them is fresh- songs, melodies, riffs!! In the age of the digital revolution, we have been waiting for just the thing.
Close your eyes and visualise two random strangers meeting online, making music over the internet. Sending audio files to and fro. And listen carefully for what you are about to hear will surely bend your ears and lift your senses way past the others out there vying for your attention.
Paired together through blind faith, some things have proof enough to just believe in. Living at opposite ends of the country, they have never met but yet managed to put together what we can only describe as some of the best Urban Folk music to come out of the UK & Ireland in years.
Jo Greenwood, the lead vocalist and main songwriter with Hoop La Baby in the late 90's, toured with major bands and won the highly esteemed 'In The City' Unsigned competition and had her own material featured on TV and Film. Ged Flood with his Irish roots, planting him firmly on the ground, is a multi instrumentalist and singer songwriter in his own right, having also had his music featured in adverts on TV and Film.
Jo and the Flood are releasing a digital EP in a matter of weeks. “Which Way Do You Come From” taken from Jo and the Flood’s EP has already been used in opening title/sequence to new Brit horror Indie move Dead Wood. They are no strangers to the spotlight having been featured in shows in the UK, such as VH1, MTV, Channel 4, More 4 and many world wide TV & Radio networks. So they come well equipped to deal with growing demands of the music industry.
Armed with their phenomenal sound “Jo and the Flood” are ready to go “to war” on the music circuit and will stop at no odds to win you over and gain themselves legions of fans, and hey we don’t think it’ll be that hard, we see a lot of surrendering actually.

"Hey Jo" has a magical quality about it, and I listen to it often. This song is deserving of a much wider audience. Well done.
If you get the chance, check out my new CD, Tu-Toned Stranger. I have several songs where the players recorded their parts remotely and we dropped their tracks in. Probably similar to the way you recorded these tracks.
