I'd like to meet David Crowder. He has such an authinticty of who he is. Listen to his voice and the words of his songs. He loves God and ministers to Him in ways that I could only dream. Job 26:7 says, God stretches out the north over empty space. He hangs the earth on nothing.

Can you see that picture? A love so huge and truthful that it hangs life on nothing. That is what this is about. Not a religion. Not who can convert the most people to think like I think. It is about LOVE. A LOVE so huge and truthful that we cannot deny what is before us.

The three major religions of this earth command their followers to take care of the poor, widowed, and orphans. Yet, 852 million people will go to bed hungery tonight. Over 6,500 Africans die daily to currable diseases. More than 10 Million Americans will sleep homeless this year. I could go on with stats, but I am sure you know how to use Google.

My point is to make a difference. To show the world what LOVE truly can be. This is a call to society to make a difference for our children's children. To stop turning our eyes and heads thinking that the problem will go away. For the body of Christ it is to stop crying out to God to come down and do something, when He has given that power and ability to you. So following are a few steps to help start making this world better. To start showing LOVE to those who need LOVE the most.

1. Take someone to lunch. Instead of just handing the homeless or poor a five spot and considering yourself justified. Actually sit down and eat with them. Take them to a resturaunt and LISTEN to their story. Show them compassion and empathy.

2. Get involved in a mentor program. Invest in the life of the next generation. Start mentoring at schools. Become a parent to a child without a parent. Again, sit and listen to them. Give them love that they may never have known. Teach them to read so they can get out of the poverty that has plagued their families for generations.

3. Sponsor a child in another country. Do you realize how much $20 does in another country? Sierra Leone, Africa, has an annual average salary of less than $220(Per the 2005 World Bank). Your $20 literally changes a childs life to have the ability to eat. Then communicate with that child. Send them letters. Send them pictures. Encourage them, as they are the generation who can make a difference.

4. Cry for the lost. Get outside of yourself. Realize that if you are reading this, you are more financially secure than 95% of the world. Weep for their hunger and poverty. Really understand that no matter how bad your day was, you ate at some point. LOSE THE ME.

5. Serve another culture Go and serve those who have nothing. Find a mission company and go with them. You don't have to know Christ to go and serve others. Just go and serve and truly humble yourself to serving and getting others raised up to provide for themselves. Feed the hungry, Cloth the naked, Love the unloved.

These are just the tip of the possibilities of what ONE person can do. Yes, one person can make a difference. We must try! What sort of world would we have if we did not even try? Will you try? Are you willing to sacrafice to try and make the world a better place?

Now as you can tell, I am a person who chases after God and Jesus. I believe Jesus was the perfect example of what LOVE is. Losing Himself to us. Serving those who He knew would betray Him. This example, whether believing in Him or not, would make the world so much sweeter.
