Impressions from my Hometown...
Labskaus is a culinary specialty from Northern Germany and in particular from the cities of Hamburg, Lübeck, and Bremen. The main ingredients are salted meat or corned beef, potatoes, and onion. Some recipes put beetroot, pickled gherkin, or even herring into it, while others have these ingredients as side orders. It looks like ... but a must try!
Pure entertaining: The sunday market at St. Pauli Fischmarkt; Wurst Robbi; very entertaining as he sold his wurst and salami. The best bit was when he sliced a salami with a big knife and then started pointing the knife at the crowd to make a point. A great laugh, a great showman.....
The Beatles performed at different clubs in Hamburg, Germany, during the period from August 1960 to December 1962; which brought them to the attention of Brian Epstein. He moulded them into a professional act.
